Croteaux Vineyards’ 2006 Releases

As the Long Island wine community has moved into adolescence, several smaller wineries have popped up on the Island — some focusing on a single style or even one wine. Sparkling Pointe, for instance, has released it’s first — you guessed it — sparkling wines. And, Medolla Vineyards, for now anyway, is making merlot. Hittin’ the Road: Chicago, June 16-19

My "day job" doesn’t involve much travel. In fact, it doesn’t really include much of any unless I find a conference or educational opportunity that takes me away from the greater New York City area. Later this month, I’ll be attending one such conference: Web Content 2008 in Chicago, IL. Thing is, I’ve never been to Chicago, so I’m looking for some recommendations for restaurants, mainly for dinner. I know, I should go to Alinea or Tru. I’m looking into both of those, but I also want to make sure that I get a real feel (and taste) of Chicago.…

Drink Local with canvas Magazine (6/14): The Menu and Pairings

A couple of weeks ago, I announced that canvas Magazine is hosting another in our serious of "Drink Local" events. A the time I knew the wineries that are coming, but didn’t know what wines would be poured or the food that Whole Foods Market would be served. Now I do and I wanted to share them.
