Drfrank_08dryIf you live outside of New York and have had a Finger Lakes riesling, there's a better-than-good chance that it came from Dr. Konstantin Frank Vinifera Wine Cellars, one of the most widely distributed producers in the state.

And, if you like your riesling minerally and steely, this is a great choice from the Finger Lakes.

The nose is very slatey with underlying lime and green apple character.

The light-body, lithe palate is a bit more appley, but still very minerally, with more than a lick of slate. There is great acidity here that isn't quite integrated into the rest of the wine and a pithy lime zest note on the finish.
