Macari Vineyards Buys Galluccio Family Wineries

I could have titled this post "The Pain of Writing for a Quarterly." Why?

Well, as you can read in Newsday, Macari Vineyards has acquired Galluccio Family Wineries on Main Road in Cutchogue. Mark Harrington does a nice job telling the story, so I won’t.

But why the other possible title? Well, I knew about this about a month ago, and put it in my upcoming column for Edible East End. And, I agreed to give them the exclusive and not write about it anywhere else.

Lenn… where have Gallucio’s grapes gone these past few years (especially this past year’s vintage?) Does Macari get inventory, too?
