Evan Dawson Joins the LENNDEVOURS Team
Every day I realize how lucky I am to have had so much fun and success with this blog. What started simply as a way for me to chronicle my adventures in Long Island wine country has grown into something more than I could have ever imagined.
The fact that anyone else would want to write for me has always surprised me, but I think my fellow contributors have been a great and vital asset to LENNDEVOURS in its growth and development.
Today, we welcome another writer into the fold, Evan Dawson.
Evan, who is writing a book about the winemakers of the
Finger Lakes, first became interested in Finger Lakes wine on his first
trip to the region with his now-wife Morgan, a Penn Yan native.
He'll be writing about a variety of things on
LENNDEVOURS, including features that offer insights from and stories about the people
behind the Finger Lakes region's delicious wines. He'll also cover news items on occasion, which is
what he does when he's not writing about wine. Evan is a morning news
anchor at WHAM-TV and CW-16 in Rochester, where he also serves as a
political correspondent with a focus on state and federal issues.
Morgan will, on occasion, be contributing to LENNDEVOURS as well, offering her talents as a photographer. She operates Morgan Dawson Photography out of their East Rochester home.
Look for Evan's first post early next week. In the meantime, welcome him aboard.

This is indeed a cool site — a wonderful example of how passion and knowledge can blossom in the new media world. I know you are kidding when you talk about Lenn complaining, but keep in mind that Lenn (and the staff) work hard to maintain a critical, honest point of view. It’s extremely important. We’re not here to spread propaganda and we’re not a sales department.
That said, we’re writing and reviewing and breaking news regarding NY wines (and beer and food) because we are passionate about the overall product. We have pride.
