Hello LENNDEVOURS readers! I am happy to be filling in (or at least attempting to) for Lenn while he recovers from his tonsillectomy. I must tell you that it has been a long 4 days for both he and I — filled with culinary wonders that you can not possibly imagine. Just kidding!

I would be lying if I told you that I have been cooking up a storm for myself, filled with wonderful food. I just can’t seem to get the inspiration when only cooking for one. Not to mention the guilt I feel when I sit down to eat a delicious meal in front of my "foodie" fiancee. He insists that it is OK and that he isn’t bothered by it…but perhaps it is the occasional  "that smells good," or "I hate you," gives it away!!!

To put it mildly, Lenn is not happy about the fact that he is eating pudding, ice cream, spaghetti o’s, and jello.  He even returned to the good old college days tonight when I made him some delicious Ramen noodles!  To some, like myself, it sounds like a "bingers" dream…but to Lenn it is pure torture.

I of course have neglected to mention the absence of wine. It is to difficult to even mention without a hint of sadness. I did have a couple of glasses of a deliciously mellowed Merlot on Sunday…but it was with a secret sip here and there!! Tomorrow I will be opening something, just because I can’t take it anymore…and I know that Lenn would not want the wine blogging community to suffer because of his predicament!

My message to all of you tonight: Savor every bite that you take and every sip of wine that you drink.  Lenn will be back with a vengeance, but until then…I will do my best!
