I Really Want to Love Love Lane Kitchen

I really do want to love Love Lane Kitchen. Seriously. It’s a bustling little cafe on a great little street (Love Lane) in Mattituck. The menu balances local standards (lobster rolls) with things that are a bit of a surprise (pad thai and Cuban sandwiches). And, given the dire need for lunch options in wine country, I really really want to love the place. But after our second visit, I can’t say that I do yet. Two New WSET Diplomas on the North Fork

Just wanted to do a quick lil post to congratulate Eileen Duffy and Tracy Ellen Kamens, who received word over the holiday weekend that they earned their Diploma in Wine & Spirits from the Wine & Spirit Education Trust. They join Channing Daughters Winery’s winemaker, Chris Tracy, as the Diploma holders on the East End. I haven’t taken any WSET course (yet) myself, but I know the hours one has to put in to earn a Diploma. Kudos to them… and something tells me that they will join Chris in going for their MW as well.
