This Thursday: “Partners in Living Local” Winemaker’s Dinner at The American Hotel
John Leo, winemaker for Clovis Point, has created a wine dinner series “Partners in Living Local” — all hosted at the American Hotel in Sag Harbor and all celebrating one type of partnership or another in wine country.
From the series announcement:
The American Hotel in Sag Harbor presents local collaborative wine projects in a series of four course dinners celebrating some new landmarks on the East End wine scene.
When you live in a place of timeless treasures it’s sometimes easy to overlook the subtle changes growing out of the familiar scenery.
It is with this expectation we invite you to the treasure of The American Hotel to discover some of the East End’s flourishing new pleasures.
Eight years ago none of the wines featured in these dinners were in the marketplace. Yet the people who created them had already been crafting respected and delicious wines for years. The landscape shifted a bit and suddenly the horizon has a few more landmarks.
The first dinner in the series featured wines from Roanoke Vineyards and the Grapes of Roth, celebrating the partnership of vineyard manager Rich Pisacano and winemaker Roman Roth. The second focused on Suhru and T’Jara wines, the result of the partnership between winemaker Russell Hear and his wife Susan.
Thursday marks the series’ third edition. Join Clovis Point owner Hal Ginsburg and winemaker John Leo for a five-course feast paired with wines from Clovis Point and Leo Family Wine, John’s private label.
Space is limited. Contact The American Hotel to RSVP: 631-725-3535. Seats are $70 plus tip and tax
