I know we haven't had a lot of new content here this week — but we have a reason. TasteCamp North kicks off today and there have been last-minute preparations, travel and other assorted things to deal with. But, we'll get back to regular programming on Monday after we spend the next three days touring Niagara and Ontario wine country on both sides of the border.
You're probably wondering what this is a picture of… those are 2010 tank samples brought to Evan's house last night by Fox Run Vineyards' assistant winemaker Tricia Renshaw.
Here's a tip: When the Fox Run Vineyards 2010 Dry Riesling is released, check it out. 2010 was a hot year so there is a certain weight to it, but the natural acids provide the cut and energy you'd expect from a Finger Lakes riesling.
Tricia and head winemaker Peter Bell also have some interesting experimental 2010s that I'm sure we'll be writing more about in the near future.
