As I’ve written previously, early next Wednesday morning (too early if you ask me) I leave New York for San Francisco.

I’ll be in conferences all day Thursday through Saturday, and then Nena joins me Saturday afternoon to make a little mini-vacation/anniversary trip out of things, but…I’m loooking for some suggestions from the booming Bay Area blogging community.

I tend to be a lone roamer when I’m on business trips by myself…I just wander the streets in search of something to do. But, given that I have all of you as a resource, I thought perhaps I’d be a bit more targeted.

I’m staying in Nob Hill the first few nights before Nena and I move to Union Square area.

So:

1. Where should I try to eat Wednesday-Friday night? I’ll be
   dining alone most likely (which I don’t mind one bit). My company’s
   meal allowance isn’t what it once was, so value is important here.
2. We have dinner plans Saturday night already, but we’re looking for
   suggestions on Sunday and Monday nights. Value is important here as
   well, but we do want to truly spoil ourselves one night.
3. We’re spending one night in Sonoma as well, so restaurant recs for up that way would be great too.

I have already made a couple reservations (just so we had something) at 1550 Hyde Cafe & Wine Bar and at Vignette. Feedback is welcome and appreciated.

And, if any of you are going to be in my temporary neck of the woods
during the week and would like to get together for a drink or five let
me know.
