One of the most fun aspects of picking up our weekly share at Garden of Eve Organic Farm is one that I never really thought of before we signed up.
You see, the have pigs, goats, turkeys, chickens, sheep and even a calf there. And, to say that our little guy loves animals is akin to suggesting that I merely like pork. Every week he enjoys checking in on his farm animal friends. Here we are saying hello to one of the pigs.
If you could hear Jackson when this picture was snapped, you’d hear him grunting like a pig. Yes, I’m very proud of this little boy.
The rest of our long holiday weekend was good, despite humid, overcast weather. There was much good wine (and beer) along side great food with great family and friends.
And, Nena and I had another stellar meal at Kitchen - A Bistro in St. James, which more than made up for the just-barely-mediocre lunch we had at Love Lane Kitchen on Saturday. I keep wanting to enjoy LLK, but this visit was definitely worse than our first visit. On the other hand, one of my favorite readers had a great dinner at LLK over the weekend. Perhaps I’m just going there for the wrong meal?
More on both "Kitchens" this week.
