I leave for Wine Bloggers Conference 2008 Friday morning, but it almost feels like I’m already there because Melissa Dobson and I have been working with wineries from throughout New York to compile a bunch of New York wines for us to pour while we’re in Santa Rosa for the event. There are still a few stragglers coming in, but we’ve finally been able to finalize most of the wines that will be available.
From the Finger Lakes, we will have:

- Fulkerson Winery 2007 Reserve Riesling
- Lamoreaux Landing Wine Cellars 2006 Reserve Chardonnay

And, from Long Island we’ll have:

- Castello di Borghese 2006 Estate Chardonnay
- Channing Daughters Winery 2007 Tocai Friulano
- Lieb Family Cellars 2007 Pinot Blanc

- Raphael 2002 First Label Merlot
- Roanoke Vineyards 2006 Cabernet Franc
- Shinn Estate Vineyards 2005 Cabernet Franc
- Sparkling Point 2004 Brut
- The Grapes of Roth 2007 Riesling
- The Lenz Winery 2001 Old Vines Merlot
- Waters Crest Winery 2005 Campania Rosso (red blend)
- Wolffer Estate 2004 Cabernet Franc
Most of these wines are samples coordinated by me, Melissa and a couple different regional associations. Several did come from my own cellar and both Melissa and I have paid to ship the wines cross-country ourselves.
As I said…more wineries keep offering to ship wine out, so this list will likely grow. And, several wineries offered more than one wine and if I have room in my suitcase for them, there will be even more.
