It’s been a long time coming, but today I’m happy to announce the return of #TasteNY — our Twitter-based virtual New York wine tasting event — on Thursday, April 10 at 7 p.m. Joining us will be Kris Matthewson from Bellwether Wine Cellars, a young label focusing on single-vineyard riesling and pinot noir in the Finger Lakes with a decidedly hands-off winemaking style.
During the event, which can be followed using the #TasteNY hashtag on Twitter, wine lovers from across the country will be tasting and discussing three wines:
- 2013 Dry Rose of Pinot Noir
- 2012 Wild Ferment Riesling
- 2012 Sawmill Creek Vineyard Riesling
Kris and other members of the BWC team will be on Twitter to lead the tasting and to answer questions not only about the wines but viticulture and winemaking in the Finger Lakes.
If you’d like to join us, Kris and the folks from BWC are offering this three-pack for $67 with free shipping (to anywhere that they are able to ship). Please make sure that you order sooner rather than later to make sure the wines arrive in time.
We’re encouraging anyone who purchases the pack to host tasting parties at home or at their favorite restaurant or wine bar. Wine is best when shared with friends, right? I will be hosting one such tasting somewhere in Long Island wine country that evening and our managing editor, Evan Dawson will be hosting one in Rochester.
We hope to see you there!
