12 at 12 Years Old: BrooklynGuy’s Thoughts

I’m still working on my write up of the 1995 Long Island reds tasting from last weekend, but one of the participants, Neil, has finished his already.

This was only the second time that I’ve tasted with Neil, the first being Brooklyn Uncorked last spring, but his love of wines from the Loire and Burgundy was joyously apparent as he tasted these wines. He even liked some of the wines that the rest of us didn’t care for, wines with medicinal and other funk.

He was a pleasure to taste with, thoughtful, insightful and fun. We really had a great group of people and wines that night. I hope that we can find some way to get this group together regularly, or at least again, to taste some more wine.

Check out Neil’s post.

Sounds like fun and a fabulous experience with some LI wines. Were these from your personal cellar?
Also seems like, from Neil’s post, none were corked. Bravo there. I would say, consider yourself lucky.
Hope I can join in next time =P
