Fifteen months after an electrical fire destroyed a 2,000-square foot auxiliary tasting room, Dr. Konstantin Frank Vinifera Wine Cellars will host a triumphant re-opening.
The top photograph, taken this month, shows the new facility, which owner Frederick Frank calls "bigger and even better" than the facility that burned in April of 2009. The bottom photograph shows the immediate aftermath of that fire.
To celebrate, Dr. Frank's will host a public party on Sunday, July 25th from 1pm to 5pm. Single tickets cost $15; couples will pay $25 to attend.
Visitors will find a building that is larger than the one that burned, with more windows to provide lake views. As before, the new tasting room will be open on busy weekends and for special parties and events.
