Tasting House Wine Guide
Sparkling Pointe is looking for new team members to join our tasting house staff. These are part time positions, 2-4 days per week, weekends and holidays required with potential for eventual transition to full time. We are looking for enthusiastic people with a passion for wine and working with the public. Candidates must be articulate, self-motivated, and customer service oriented.

Competitive hourly wages, plus tips and other incentives.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Greet and serve guests in a friendly, gracious manner with the highest level of hospitality, exceeding guest’s expectations
  • Describe and memorize facts about wines, winemaking techniques, and winery/vineyard history
  • Effectively suggest and sell wine and wine club memberships to guests
  • Handle point-of-sale transactions and shipping orders
  • Help with housekeeping tasks to maintain a neat and orderly working environment
  • Receiving and stocking
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by manager

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • Must be able to lift and move up to 50 lbs
  • Knowledge of and passion for wine preferred
  • Must be available and willing to work weekends
  • Must be able to stand for extended periods of time
  • High energy and work well in a fast-paced environment
  • Must be capable of working independently, and of managing multiple tasks at once
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Must be computer literate with have experience with POS systems
  • Team player in an environment that requires flexibility and multi-tasking

Tasting House Host & Hospitality Associate
Sparkling Pointe is looking for a professional, energetic and self-motivated Host and Hospitality Associate to join our team. This position graciously welcomes and assists our guests; it does not conduct tours and tastings. These are part time positions with weekend hours only. Competitive hourly wages.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provides a warm and gracious welcome to arriving guests
  • Presents appointment options and opportunities to visitors upon arrival to winery
  • Interfaces with visitors at all points of contact to enhance their visit, ensuring exceptional customer service to all guests
  • Directs and/or leads guests to the appropriate tasting destination
  • Assists Wine Club Members to and from the wine club reserved tasting areas
  • Assists as a parking lot attendant when needed
  • Checks in reservations from all guests arriving by bus, limo, or in large groups
  • Works with management to diffuse situations from busses and limos without reservations and disruptive groups
  • Works on any additional special project assignments as assigned by management

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must be at least 21 years of age
